新加坡佛教总会（简称佛总）是我国各个寺院庵堂` 机构社团所齐心合力建立成来的共同家园。自1948年创会以来这近六旬的日子里，佛总在历任诸位长老大德的带领下，为佛教`为众生而呕心沥血`忘我弘法`回馈社会，为社会及佛教树立了光辉的榜样和鲜明的形象，就在21世纪之初，佛总迎来了承前启后` 继往开来的大好机会。为了诸位长老的夙愿，近一步圆满佛教慈悲济世的宏愿，佛总组全体同仁正筹备在芽笼24A巷兴建新会所大厦。

佛总新会所的实用楼面共有六层楼，第一层是接待大厅，第二层为办公室及会议厅，第三及第四层是两层楼高的大礼堂，第五层是课室，第六层是讲堂与招待室。大厦顶层是天台花园，总楼面约1770平方米。新会所总造价是新币450万元，这不包括已付清的地价。至于筹款近度，至2006年5月31日实际筹得新币1，076915.98元，离开450万元筹款目标尚有一大距离，因此，还需要四众弟子` 善长仁翁的大力资助。

为了鼓励信众发心捐献会所基金，佛总特别推出一项“供奉过去， 现在，未来三千尊佛像”计划，恳请四众弟子发愿供奉，所筹善款悉数捐给佛总的新会所建设基金。与此同时，佛总董事会同仁恳请各寺院庵堂的住持` 大德法师们，积极向信众推介这项供奉佛像计划，供奉过去` 现在` 未来三千尊佛像。大家有一份热，发一份光，信众们众志成城，同心协力，必能实现佛总明日的理想。新加坡佛教的成长与发展，正需要您的关怀与支持。

新加坡佛教总会新会所筹委会敬启

The establishment of Singapore Buddhist Federation (SBF) symbolises the realisation of the collective aspirations of all Buddhist institutions and organisations to have a common home for themselves. For close to 6 decades since its inception in 1948, the tireless successive efforts of the leadership by various venerables in promoting Dharma and giving back to the society has led SBF to become a distinguished and shining example. At the turn of 21st century, SBF is seizing the golden opportunity to continue the good works of its predecessors. SBF is now embarking on a project to build an HQ Building along Lorong 24A of Geylang.

The proposed new HQ is a 6-storeyed building. Level 1 is the Reception Lounge, level 2 houses the Secretariat Office and Conference Room, level 3 and 4 is the 2-storeyed high Prayer Hall, level 5 consists of various classrooms and level 6 includes a Lecture Theatre and a Visitors’ Lounge. There is also a roof-top garden. The gross floor area is about 1770 square metres.

The estimated cost of this new building is $4.5 million, which does not include the land cost, which was fully paid for years ago. So far, we have managed to raise $1,076,915.98, which is still distant from the target sum. At this juncture, we call for the strong support and generous donations of Buddhists from all traditions.

In order to encourage Buddhist followers to donate generously to this worthy cause, SBF has launched a 3000 Buddha Image Sponsorship Scheme. All proceeds from this donation scheme will go to the SBF Building Fund. Meanwhile, we appeal to all Buddhist monasteries, nunneries and institutions to help us promote this scheme to your followers. With synergy and dedication, let us all can help SBF to realise its aspiration. The growth and development of Buddhism in Singapore requires your care and support. Thank you very much.
